Connectivity between India and the Baltic region is going to be easier following Codeshare partnership between Air India and airBaltic!

Air India has announced a new, one-way codeshare partnership with airBaltic, Latvia’s flag carrier, marking a significant step towards making travel between Europe and the Baltic region more convenient.
This partnership expands on the interline agreement between the two airlines, which began in June 2025, and aims to provide Indian travelers with enhanced connectivity to Europe and the Baltic states.
The benefits of this partnership are not limited to Latvia. Through an interline agreement with airBaltic, passengers will also be able to travel to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, and Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, via Air India’s selected European gateways.
Air India is expanding its global footprint with four new interline partnerships, unlocking access to 16 more destinations across 6 countries in Europe and Central Asia.

This will strengthen Air India’s reach across the entire Baltic region.
Under this codeshare agreement, Air India has added its ‘AI’ designator code to flights operated by airBaltic between Riga, the capital of Latvia, and its key European gateways—Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Milan Malpensa, Vienna, Zurich, and London Gatwick.
This will allow Air India passengers to travel from India to Riga on a single ticket with convenient connections.
