In West Bengal’s Nadia district, Bangladeshi smugglers attacked Border Security Force personnel on the South Bengal frontier in a daring attempt to smuggle contraband.

One Bangladeshi smuggler was killed in the operation, while the others fled back to Bangladesh. One cutter, four sharp-edged weapons, 96 Phensedyl bottles, and two bottles of foreign liquor were recovered from the scene.
During the retaliatory action, one smuggler was killed.
