Kolkata Metro Railway will operate extra trains on all Sundays in January for the convenience of passengers.

In an official statement, Metro officials said that on Sundays 160 services will now be operated on the Blue Line between Dakshineswar and Shahid Khudiram, instead of the usual 130 services. This includes 80 up and 80 down trips.
The statement said that the first train on the Blue Line will start at 9:00 AM. The last service will depart from Shahid Khudiram towards Dakshineswar at 9:33 PM and from Shahid Khudiram towards Dum Dum at 9:44 PM.
The statement also mentioned that train services on the Green Line have been increased on Sundays, and a total of 124 services will now operate between Howrah Maidan and Salt Lake Sector Five, including 62 up and 62 down trips.
It further stated that the first train on the Green Line will depart from Howrah Maidan at 9:00 AM and from Salt Lake Sector 5 at 9:02 AM, with the last train on this route departing at 9:55 PM.
