Kolkata Police are organizing a marathon on the morning of January 18th.

The main objective of this marathon is to reinforce the “Safe Drive Save Life” campaign that was launched by the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, on 8th July 2016. The event will raise awareness about road safety among the city’s residents.
Kolkata Police started the 1st edition of Kolkata Police Safe Drive Save Life Half Marathon in January 2018. Within a span of two years the Marathon gained national prominence and became the biggest half marathon event of the State.

This will be the sixth Kolkata Police Marathon, and this year it is being organized in a highly professional manner.
The marathon will be held over distances of 5 kilometers, 10 kilometers, and 21 kilometers.
The police have also announced that arrangements will be made to send the winners to Seoul, South Korea.
