The division bench of the Calcutta High Court set aside the single bench’s order cancelling the jobs of 32,000 teachers.

A division bench of Justice Tapobrata Chakraborty and Justice Ritabrata Kumar Mitra ruled that there were irregularities in some appointments but not everyone’s job could be cancelled because of it.
About 42,500 primary teachers were appointed in 2016 on the basis of the 2014 TET and there were allegations of irregularities in that process.
