Two smugglers arrested with gold biscuits worth Rs 3 crore in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal at India-Bangladesh border.

According to the media reports, both the smugglers were trying to sneak the check post by hiding 20 illegal gold biscuits in the cabin of a truck.
The value of the seized gold biscuits is said to be around Rs 3.2 crore.
The two smugglers were brought to the Ghojadanga border outpost for further questioning.
During interrogation, they revealed that they were residents of North 24 Parganas district and worked as laborers and drivers at a brick kiln.
Both the arrested smugglers along with the seized gold and truck have been handed over to the concerned department for further legal action.
