
The Vidyasagar Setu is set to be closed for eight hours on Sunday, informed a Kolkata Police notification.
The bridge will be completely closed from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the 18th. It has been announced that no vehicles will be allowed to cross during this period.
It has been said that vehicles coming from Jirat Island via AJC Bose Road will be diverted through Turf View towards Hastings Crossing. They will then be able to exit via Howrah Bridge.
Additionally, vehicles can also turn right at Hastings Crossing and proceed towards KP Road. Vehicles coming from the JN Island side via KP Road will be diverted through the 11 Furlong Gate towards Hastings Crossing.
All vehicles have been advised to use the Howrah Bridge for eight hours. The Second Hooghly Bridge, or Vidyasagar Setu, will be reopened after 1 PM.
